Sean Mendenhall

Educational Specialist

Sean first experienced the joy of teaching through his work at iD Tech summer camps as an undergrad. Over the course of three summers he taught small groups of students a variety of programming languages through project based learning. This experience helped him realize the importance of tailoring instruction to the individual and making learning fun.  He graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a major in Computer Science: Game Design and a minor in Education. After a brief stint as a software engineer in Silicon Valley he realized his heart was in working directly with people. Sean started at Steps to Success in 2016 and values the impact he can have on his student's lives through providing content and executive functioning support. In his free time he loves to mountain bike, backpack, and read a good book.
