Sarah Chen

Educational Therapist

Sarah’s career in education began in 1997 as a second and third-grade teacher in Los Angeles where she developed a passionate for supporting the unique needs of all learners, especially in literacy. Sarah’s classroom teaching experience continued as a kindergarten and first-grade teacher here in Santa Cruz. Following her years in the classroom, Sarah taught English language development. For the past several years, Sarah has worked as a literacy specialist at a local K - 8 public school. Sarah received her BA in Psychology and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from UCSD. Sarah is trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach and will become a certified  Educational Therapist in June 2024.
