Heather Sommerville

Director, Educational Therapist

Heather has taken her energy and enthusiasm for learning and teaching and channeled it to specifically address the needs of students with learning differences. Her knowledge and expertise focuses on making learning accessible to all students. Over the past 15 years, Heather has taught in a variety of settings. She has worked in South America, training teachers and working with at-risk youth. Heather has worked within the public school system in Watsonville as an upper-grade teacher and mentor teacher. She has extensive experience designing and implementing training programs for teachers and parents.   Heather founded Steps to Success in 2008 and built an interdisciplinary team of professionals to meet the varying needs of Steps students.
